a. Annual Meeting -- May 19, 2 - 4 PM, Mt. Olive -- keynote speakers -- City Manager Ewell has tentatively agreed to speak, no response yet from SMC President Chui Tsang

b. Appoint a Nominating Committee to present at the March FOSP meeting a proposed slate of candidates for Board of Directors.

c. Santa Monica Airport -- FOSP position statement, report on meeting with city officials, and communication from Congressman Waxman's office regarding the proposed EMAS/RSA installation; Environmental investigation regarding air quality at Airport Park and its effect on park hours (Susan Cloke, Recreation and Parks Commission)   

d. Santa Monica College -- report on Board of Trustees 2/12 discussion and vote regarding the Bundy Campus Final EIR and Master Plan.

e. Other concerns

7. Updates

a. Communications -- develop timeline for newsletters
b. Crime and Safety -- letter to Chief Jackman re arrests of shooting suspects; arrest
       of door-to-door scam solicitation suspect
b. Emergency preparedness -- EVAC annual meeting on Feb. 24th
c. Membership -- city to mail out membership appeal letters in February (?)
d. Planning and Development
e. Public transportation -- new route from Mar Vista to SMC; "Crosstown" bus
       schedule now every 15 minutes from 7am to 6pm
e. Santa Monica College -- new shuttle parking lot on Exposition Blvd.; spring semester enrollment; Citizen Bond Oversight Committee  
f. Traffic, Parking, Pedestrian Safety -- driver in death of pedestrian at OPB & 25th to be charged; still waiting for announcement of community meeting re traffic plan for OPB between 14th and 18th; 13 of 15 "smart crosswalks" around the city non-functioning.
g. Liaisons -- Neighborhood Council (www.sm4residents.org), PNA, PIO, VAP (Congratulations to Gail Myers on her appointment to the Virginia Avenue Park Advisory Board!), Santa Monica Conservancy
