Report on the move of the shuttle lot from the beach to Exposition Blvd. between Centinela and Stewart/28th, the replacement of the shuttle bus with the "Sunset Ride," the new SMC Commuter line, free ridership on the #11 Crosstown for SMC students, staff, and faculty, etc.

15. Report on Big Blue Bus Community Meetings - The new SMC Commuter (http://www.bigbluebus.com/busroutes/map/index.asp?routeid=101) is now running from Westside Pavilion to the Main Campus (3x in the morning, 2x in the afternoon), the Crosstown #11 line now runs every 15 minutes from 7am to 6pm, rather than every 30 minutes (both are free for SMC students, faculty, & staff, to encourage less car traffic).

Proposed:

1) Crosstown Ride (formerly #11 - Pearl, 14th, Montana, 20th, Ocean Park Blvd. 17th to Pearl),
2) Sunset Ride (SMC shuttle to Main Campus, Bundy Campus, Academy of Entertainment &
Technology Campus, and shuttle parking lot on Exposition),
3) Pico Market Ride on Saturdays (Cloverfield, Ocean Park Blvd., 14th St., and Colorado Blvd.),
4) Tide Ride (Ocean Ave. to Marine, Main St. shopping district, 4th to Wilshire, 7th, Broadway), and
5) Downtown Market Ride (Arizona Ave., 6th to San Vicente, Ocean to Montana, 4th to Arizona).

All these will be "Mini Blue Buses," currently Thomas buses (30-foot, as opposed to 40-foot) registering 95 decibels, ca. 15 decibels louder than cars and 7 decibels louder than delivery trucks. The next round of vehicles for Mini Blue Service (not sure when that would be) will be shorter than 30 feet and "should have a maximum decibel level of 70." 14th, 20th, and Ocean Park Blvd. would have buses passing approximately every 8 minutes M-F.

EZ Transit Pass -- "No more fussing with transfers or fumbling for exact change!" Ride almost any bus or train in LA County (including Big Blue Bus, MTA, and Culver City) all month for $58. Call 1-800-COMMUTE for the nearest sales location.
